About Glenda

While going through a difficult period in my life I spent a lot of time researching what makes people tick, why we are motivated or not motivated, why we are attracted to certain people and not to others. Why a challenge that may seem incredibly difficult for me may be a breeze for you. I found mindfulness and awareness. I learned that I get to choose my thoughts and responses.

I got to a place where I felt good again and decided that no matter what life threw at me I was going to Enjoy the Adventure. I decided to share what I have learned to help others who may have a hurdle they need help getting over.

I may not be the best coach for everyone, I am direct and to the point and am always authentic truly wanting the best for you. I will never tell you just what you want to hear, I will not placate you. I am not here to be your best friend, but to encourage you, support you and help you with the hard stuff that will get you through the mindset shift needed to live your best life.

about Coaching

The client and the coach both have active roles in the coaching relationship. As your coach I will help you set meaningful goals while serving as an objective accountability partner. Your goals could include desired mindset changes, developing healthy habits for nutrition and exercise, life transitioning, developing your career, changing careers, learning awareness, increasing emotional intelligence, relationship goals, time management or organizing your life to name a few.

Coaching helps successful people become even more successful. When I started participating (notice I did not say competing) in triathlons, I hired a coach. Left on my own I would have had a slim chance of knowing the right steps to take to get through the race in one piece. Most new triathletes are not aware that it's more than swim, bike, run. Nutrition, sleep, recovery, strength, stability and flexibility are all just as important. And transitions, who knew transitions were such a big deal?

I will help you maximize your resources so that you can grow and transform in the ways you personally desire. Our time during a session will be spent exploring and identifying plans, goals and ideas to help you get clear on your direction and optimal path forward. I will listen closely and will ask questions to stretch your present ideals to determine what’s holding you back. I will never tell you what to do. I will ask a lot of “Why?” and “Why not?”.

I work with clients all over the world by phone or web.


Narratives

Stories that we are told growing up from our parents, families, friends, religion, school, society, Disney, fashion magazines, song lyrics, you name it, all layer in to the beliefs that we build about ourselves and how our life should be. When you start to unpack what you really believe about yourself and where those beliefs actually come from, you will begin to relieve the burden of limiting beliefs and will learn to choose what your thoughts are and how to respond, instead of reacting.

Coaching is not therapy

As your coach I am your motivator and accountability partner. I am not trained to diagnose or treat clinical concerns. There are excellent trained professional therapists and counselors who can help with areas outside of what coaching entails. Some clients choose to work with both a therapist and a coach.

All coaching sessions are confidential.
